About the Department
Department of Computer Science is one of the finest Departments in RJMCC that provides two undergraduate courses of 3-year full-time degree in Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA) and B. Sc. Computer Science ( Digital Forensic Science & Cyber Security) from 2021-22.
Departmental Objectives
The Department focuses on the latest developments in the field of Information and Technology and allied subjects and provides practical training to students in the field of Computer Applications & Digital Sciences and the fundamental concepts of Computers and IT Application. The students are given training in latest technologies and computer languages, so the IT-related problems could be addressed. The department strives to help the students:

Test Engineer

Vijayakumar S, an alumnus of the Batch of 2015–2018, has established a commendable career in the field of Software Quality Assurance and Testing since completing his Bachelor of Computer Applications at RJMCC College.
Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he commenced his professional career as a Software Testing Support Engineer at Inmakes Infotech Pvt Ltd, Kochi, where he served from October 2022 to February 2025, developing a strong foundation in software quality assurance principles and practices.
He subsequently joined GE Tech Pvt Ltd, Medavakkam, Chennai, as a Test Engineer, from February 2025 to May 2026, during which he further honed his proficiency in both manual and automation testing methodologies.
He currently serves as a Test Engineer at W2S Solutions Pvt Ltd, Chennai, a position he has held since May 2026, continuing to contribute meaningfully to the field of software testing.
